Target audience identity
Scheduling
For my advert I would chose to have it broadcasted onto either of these two channels, these are ITV 1 and E4. I would choose ITV 1 because firstly it does allow advertising rather than BBC where I would originally want my advert to be to reach the furthest audience. ITV 1 is a mainstream channel which means lots of people view the channel and generally the audience of this channel is fairly in the middle on the Socio-Class of A,B, C1, C2 D, E. I think ITV reaches class around B,C range which partly what my target audience is of E-C. E4 on the other hand I chose because it isn’t mainstream but the audience of this channel might more swayed to a younger generation of being unemployed or students. This would be are the E range, I do believe both the channels reach every class but from the shows they broadcast, I believe that the specific classes would be watching that channel at a specific time. For example E4 here has ‘The Big Bang Theory’ on at 8:33, this a fairly mainstream time as well and also this show relates to the techy side of my audience. This show is about ‘nerds’ and would be a perfect fit with a product for source of energy for technology. ITV 1 is strongly mainstream and as my product is mainstream, I believe having my advert broadcasted here will be targeting my audience of mainstreamers much more effectively.
